Old rivals Inter and Juventus will square off on Sunday in the latest instalment of Serie A’s internationally famous Derby d’Italia.

Juventus have won six of their last seven in all competitions and would actually be second in Serie A, ahead of Inter, had they not been deducted 15 points.

They’re the form side compared to Inter, who have won just one of their last four, although both sides sealed European advancement in midweek and will be in high spirits as a result.

    Inter team news

Centre-back is an area of concern for manager Simone Inzaghi. Milan Skriniar has aggravated his back problem and Alessandro Bastoni is nursing a hamstring injury, so expect Stefan de Vrij to step in.

(3-5-2): Onana; Darmian, De Vrij, Acerbi; Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Martinez, Lukaku

    Juventus team news

Paul Pogba and Alex Sandro both have thigh injuries which will keep them out of this one, while Leonardo Bonucci and Fabio Miretti face late fitness tests. Striker Moise Kean is suspended.

Fans can also expect to see a little more of Federico Chiesa. The Italian managed 20 minutes off the bench in midweek after shaking off a knee problem and may get a little longer this time out.

(3-5-2): Szczesny; Danilo, Bremer, Gatti; Cuadrado, Fagioli, Locatelli, Rabiot, Kostic; Di Maria; Vlahovic

Inter have struggled recently and won’t enjoy the added test of switching their focus back to Serie A, having lost three of their last six games straight after European fixtures.

They may have home advantage, but Inter’s defensive injuries could be problematic against a Juventus side who, despite the off-field turmoil, are flying and winning games.

Juve are fallible, as Roma proved a few weeks ago, but they will fancy their chances of winning here.

    Prediction: Inter 1-2 Juventus
