On the heels of announcing the Galaxy A54 and A34, Samsung could be getting ready to announce another Galaxy A series phone. That handset could be the budget-friendly Galaxy A24.
It appears that a few promotional renders of the Galaxy A24 were found by the publication Gadgety. The renders not only reveal almost everything about the device, but it also looks like the renders were joined by some of the A24’s specs.
Looking at the exterior, Samsung seems to have applied its 2023 design philosophy to the A24. As a result, the camera bump from the A23 has disappeared, instead having lens-only camera protrusions. Speaking of the cameras, it looks like this model will have a three-camera setup rather than the four cameras present on its predecessor. Based on the images, there could be four color options including black, burgundy, green, and silver.
Moving on to the specs, the A24 could have a 6.5-inch FHD+ SuperAMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. A display like this would be pretty impressive for one of Samsung’s cheapest phones. It’s also expected that the phone may run on a MediaTek Helio G99 processor. For comparison, the A23 houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor. That processor could be accompanied by 4GB RAM and 128GB internal memory with microSD expandable storage.
In regards to the cameras, the A24 should feature a 50MP main camera, 5MP secondary camera, and 2MP macro camera. The selfie camera will see a bit of an upgrade, moving up from 8GB to 13GB.
Finally, the device could have a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging support. Other notable features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
It’s unknown if the Galaxy A24 will launch in the US. But given that the A23 arrived in the states, there’s a good chance this phone will too.
