West Ham topped their Conti Cup group ahead of Brighton to book their last-eight place, while Liverpool qualified as the best second-place team after finishing behind Man City.

With the Hammers seven points ahead of the Reds in the WSL table but Liverpool coming out on top in the league fixture between the pair in December, plus the added spice of former West Ham boss Matt Beard now being in charge of the Merseyside outfit, it promises to be an intriguing fixture.

Where is the match being played? Prenton Park
TV channel/live stream? FA Player (UK, international)

Leanne Kiernan remains a long-term absentee for Liverpool as she continues her comeback from an ankle injury suffered on the opening day of the season.

Top scorer Katie Stengel returned to the Reds team for their postponed fixture against Chelsea after missing out against Manchester United. New signing Fuka Nugano had been named in the starting XI, while fellow January arrival Miri Taylor was among the substitutes.

West Ham continue to be without Jess Zui, who has been sidelined since October with an ACL injury.

The Hammers were boosted by the return of Lucy Parker last time out against Everton. The defender came on for the final 16 minutes – her first appearance since September following a muscle injury.

Liverpool have picked up just one win in the WSL since their surprise opening day victory over Chelsea – against West Ham at Prenton Park in December. The Reds won three from four to qualify for the quarter-finals as the best second place team.

West Ham have enjoyed a strong first half of the season under new boss Paul Konchesky, but were comfortably beaten by Everton last time out after going toe to toe with Man City a week earlier. If West Ham are at their best, they should just edge it.

    Prediction: Liverpool 1-2 West Ham
