The quarter-finals of the 2022/23 Champions League look like they’re going to be a whole lot of fun.

Friday’s draw has thrown up some sensational ties and the big heavyweight vs heavyweight clashes that we all want to see at this point of the competition.

Here’s how Twitter reacted to each tie.

If Chelsea are going to do as Graham Potter says and ‘win the f***ing Champions League’, they’ll have to go through reigning champions Real Madrid.

These two met at this stage last season, with Los Blancos narrowly edging what was one of the best ties of the entire competition, and they’ll be favourites this time around against a Chelsea side who have struggled for consistency this year.

Both Inter and Benfica will be fancying their chances of advancing to the next round and even the final, having been drawn in what is objectively the friendlier bracket of the two.

The most eye-catching fixture of the round is not up for debate.

Manchester City and Bayern Munich were both among the pre-season favourites and have retained that status as the campaign has gone on. Not only will one of them not make the final, but they’re set for an early exit.

It’s Pep Guardiola’s reunion with a Bayern Munich side who may be regretting not being able to convince Erling Haaland to join them instead of head to Manchester. There’s storylines everywhere you look.

Rounding things off, we have AC Milan vs Napoli.

Napoli have been one of Europe’s top sides this season and were a dark horse to get to the final even before the draw, which has left them needing to beat AC Milan and then either Inter or Benfica to get to the final.
