    The Carabao Cup returns to give desperate football fans some more content to consume following the conclusion of the World Cup.

    After the thrilling highs of Argentina’s final triumph over France in Qatar, supporters are hopeful of more drama in the League Cup fourth round, where games like Wolves vs Gillingham, Southampton vs Lincoln City and Charlton vs Brighton will take place among some more high profile matches.

    Once those games are wrapped up, all eyes will turn to the quarter-final draw.

    The 2022/23 Carabao Cup quarter-final draw will take place following the conclusion of Manchester City’s clash with Liverpool on Thursday 22 December.

    The game may go to extra time and penalties so the exact start time of the draw is unknown, but it should begin at least before 22:30 GMT.

    How can I watch the 2022/23 Carabao Cup quarter-final draw?

    Sky hold the live coverage rights for the Carabao Cup and their Main Event and Football channels will show the Man City vs Liverpool clash.

    Following the conclusion of that game, the draw will be shown on those channels as well as the Carabao Cup’s social media channels.

    There are no seedings or restrictions barring teams from meeting each other.

    The eight winners from the fourth round will be drawn from a pot. The first team drawn in a tie plays the game at home.

    The four Carabao Cup quarter-finals will take place during the week commencing 9 January 2023.

    Key dates for 2022/23 Carabao Cup

    The games come thick and fast in this competition in the new year with the final being held at Wembley Stadium on 26 February 2023.

    Once the quarter-finals are done, the semi-final draw will take place before the two-legged games between the final four decide which two teams will play at Wembley for the trophy. Those games will take place during the weeks of 23 and 30 January 2023.
