There are three major button layouts right now, starting with the power button being below the volume keys. This placement is adopted by a host of players, including Samsung, Xiaomi, Vivo, and Motorola. Meanwhile, Google is one of the few companies to place the power button above the volume rocker.

Finally, the third layout preferred by some brands is to place the power button on one side of the phone and the volume keys on the other side. Manufacturers adopting this placement include Apple, OnePlus, and Oppo.
